What type/make of front seats do you have in your Mini Moke?

I am trying to replace the current bits that comprise the seats.

Then does that mean that they would likely fit into the Mini Moke.

We did have the Cobra Sports Car Recliner seats in my wife's Moke - Briefly. Looked nice but really super duper uncomfortable! I think the old milk crate would have been nicer! Not just me, everyone who sat in them seats. I believe though seats in the rest of their range are quite nice to sit in. I think the ones we had were really intended for the low down Formula Ford and VW type Race Cars.

Currently I have Mazda MX5 NA Seats. Getting quite hard to find now (at least here) but they are THE most perfect and comfortable seat in a Moke. Even on the long haul - six weeks away type trips that I do, these seats feel just as nice at the end as they do at the start. My back isn't 'optimal' either and I've found that they do give great support here too. Can't recommend them highly enough. And the have (usually) speakers in the head rests!!

This is one of them (pic taken when I was doing my build)

So, guess which seats my wife's Moke now has?

No, I would have to have them delivered or collected in UK, then would have to have them shipped out.

That is a significant cost, to which I have to add 59.62% tax (on the purchase price + the freight) .

No. Ours from the start had the tubular frame, on to which the roped on the padding and then later, slipped over the covers, which had padding in them.

Just spent +/-¨US$70.00 on rewelding the passenger seat and the rear fold down bench seat in my Mini Moke.

I hope to be going to UK in October and an may have to go for the Cobra seats, for the front ones anyway.

Classic or Classic RS ?

Anyone have any experience with Cobra seats in their Mini Moke and anything to be wary about?

What finish for use in a Mini Moke would you suggest? Vinyl with Basketweave OR cord centre?

We've had a great '65 moke for ages, but I've developed enough back problems that the original seats are killing me.
I noticed here that people have installed both corbeau seats and miata seats.
I think I'd probably like to try something like the low-back Corbeau seats, and would recover them to match the existing (dark green) seats and top.

But I could use your advice:
1.) How have people mounted the corbeau-type seats?
I'm really tall, and so I would need to mount them pretty far back.
I'd also need to keep them very low, so I'm not looking directly at the top of the windshield frame.
Does anyone have experience with these issues?

For your amusement:
Our moke is a little hotrodded, with suspension/discs/Minilites and Yokos/1380... but except for the wheels, looks stock.
However, the most modified parts of the car right now might be the original metal seats:
They look dead stock, but have been sectioned horizontally through the seat base to make them 2" lower... and then sectioned vertically to get then to fit between the pontoons (we didn't think about them being tapered, so the top part was too wide when lowered... oops!)
