MiniWorld Action Day - Castle Combe Circuit 28th September

Post by janz » Mon Apr 15, 2013 13:03

This was a great event last year. 6 Mokes turned up. Phil and Suzy organised for Mini Magazine to be there and...... Mokes made it to the main picture in the magazine reports 8)

Check out the site - once forms are available, I / someone will apply for an FOC club stand. http://www.castlecombecircuit.co.uk/eve ... n-days.asp

This year's event promises to be great as usual. We will probably camp at the same site which is excellent and close to the historical town of Lacock - famous for Fox Talbot and a couple of good pubs:

Picadilly Caravan Park, Folly Lane West, Lacock, Chippenham, Wiltshire, SN15 2LP http://www.caravancampingsites.co.uk/wi ... adilly.htm

Application for the club stand has been sent in now. We can fit in 12 Mokes FOC. Last year we had 6 - let's see if we can get a few more.

We can get up to 12 cars in - at present I think we have 6, but not all confirmed yet. Tickets are free if you come in as the 'club'. I don't think there will be any problem for space / places. Hope to see you there :D

That's a yes to both requests :D Need to book campsite next.... got almost all of the hook up devices in Mokerhome working - all standard install that is - just the telly now... but that's not so important.... I have a feeling there is a hidden switch / relay somewhere. Why do people not document their custom installs

I give you our details later if we have more information about our boat/ train.

Have just spoken with Piccadilly Caravan park and confirmed reservations for:

Teams - Bowring, James, Hancox, Potter, Berloo, Thomas.... and self of course. Team Potter will need to confirm Tent of RV ASAP to ensure the right pitch is booked.

Will Team Crowe be camping?

Is there anyone else that I have forgotten?

Those that haven't done so yet need to send a cheque to Piccadilly as deposit for £20

I will need to book tables at the George Inn in Lacock for Friday night - so confirmed numbers..... please :) . Saturday food is open for discussion. As we all know, the Sunday (29th) is International Mini Moke day. I am planning a morning drive to possibly end up in Lechlade in the Cotswolds for lunch - however... fastest route, it is over an hours drive, and those with RVs and or sizeable tent equipment may find the long drive back to site in the wrong direction a bit of a pain... any ideas? we could do something in the area - Lacock is a lovely place with plenty of scening roads to explore.

Cool Wesley... I'll see if we can BBQ on site. If so - maybe we can do Beercan Chicken on Saturday?
