Aussie Rear Swing Arm Shock Absorber pin

Post by grantourer » Sun Jun 21, 2015 15:47

Hi Guys and Girls. I need a pair of Shock Absorber pins and the Spacers, to fit the Aussie Swing Arm. I have 2 fully refurbished arms, but they are missing the pins and spacer. has anyone got any that you can sell to me.

I've no doubt got some here, but I would strong suggest against fitting them!

They are too small and too soft for the job. As the Rear Suspension can bottom out on the Shocker, it causes these studs to bend and then shear off, making what left in the Arm quite hard to get out.

I would at the very least recommend drilling through the arm with a 3/8" clearance Drill and fitting a Grade 8 Bolt from the centre of the Moe to the outside and then put a Nyloc Nut behind the Brake Backing Plate, it actually has a pressing in it for this purpose. The 3/8" HT Bolt will still break, but it does make it easier to replace this way.

We actually run with 1/2" HT Bolts, so they don't break.

The Spacer is part of the rubber bush in the Shock.
Old Mokers never die, they just smell that way.
