Number of UK Mokes exported to US

Post by pbraun » Wed Jun 07, 2017 12:06

I can find no data - Roy Scott tells me the club doesn't have the numbers on the Mokes exported to the US.

Anyone know? or have access to data? or maybe have a lead on who might have access to this information? Thanks!

Hi, to my knowledge, when you get a Heritage Certificate, it lists Home Market or Export. On some Home market certificates it gives the receiving dealer. I think to get this info, would require someone to go through the production lists at The Heritage Centre. Would be a time consuming job.

Just wondering........maybe the research has been done already, or not. Maybe there is an easier way. I don't know.

There were certainly many hundreds of Mokes exported to the US.

They were generally made in batches of up to fifty at a time. The details of every Mini Moke are listed in the BMIHT archives at Gaydon and you can book an appointment to reseach the information if you want. However there are literally pages and pages to look through. All the Minis and Mini derivatives are listed amongst one another and it's quite easy to miss the Mokes amongst all the other Minis. As Graham has already said, it would be an extremely time consuming job to count them all. Roger
