Rear brake not holding well.

Post by Doug G » Tue May 31, 2016 21:58

The rear brakes (drums) are giving a little (OK a lot) of bother.

When you pull up the hand brake it does not grip well.

Any suggestions on what to look for and do?
Having a moking good time!

They were never brilliant, however it would be worth checking firstly that the shoes have been put in the right way around and that the brakes are properly adjusted.

If that makes no difference, then try a new set of cables. It really is surprising the difference they make.

This is how the shoes on the back should be

Old Mokers never die, they just smell that way.
